Drive from Dushanbe through the Anzob tunnel to the Fann valleys, and spend two days around Iskanderkul — the turquoise alpine lake named after Alexander the Great. Hike to the Snake Lake and the Niagara of the Fann waterfall, and enjoy a full day exploring the shores and peaks before returning to Dushanbe.

Itinerary

Day 1

Dushanbe – Fann Mountains

Arrival in Dushanbe, or pick-up from your hotel. Drive north through the Anzob tunnel into the Fann Mountains to the Iskanderkul lake area. Check in at a guesthouse. Sunset by the lake. Overnight near Iskanderkul.
